Student Knows best:

"Here is my final project. It was a great assignment and learning
experience!! Just so you know, as with Chapter 7, I am unable to send email via my laptop (security?!??!), the code for sending the email is there, but commented out so that I could test the entire site and flow. Thanks for all of your help. I am looking forward to starting JSP II next week (hopefully on Monday!!) Deb, SAP America INC

Other Hot Topics

Variables:
Java has a special syntax for setting and accessing variables' values. Students will assign string and numeric values to variables and perform basic string and numeric operations on these variables.

If-Else Conditionals:
Students will learn how to test if a variable is equal to a particular value. This technique is used to validate the data submitted in the registration.

Looping Structures:
Java provides looping constructs to iterate through a sequence of instructions. Different examples will be illustrated: loops that iterate a fixed number of times and loops that iterate indefinitely until a particular condition is fulfilled.

Forms:
Students will learn how to pass <form> and URL-appended variables from one page to another. This technique is used to error-check form fields and output submitted data.

Simple Tips for Big Results:
Students will learn a series of Java commands that are simple to learn and use, yet very powerful. These include sending e-mail from a page, creating global variables, and inserting separate text files into your page.
